Return to Me and I Will Return to You

There is a term known as “backsliding” which describes a Christian who had once been walking with God but who then reverts back to a non-Christian, or pre-conversion lifestyle. I don’t think such backsliding is deliberate, but rather, I think that there are those who get caught up in the circumstances of life and forget that God has a plan and purpose for their lives.

Return to me, and I will return to you. – Malachi 3:7 NKJV

For those who may find themselves far away from the path, and you now realize it, remember that there is always a way back. Jesus’ parable of the prodigal son¬†clearly illustrates this, but it had always been the way of God as Malachi states in the Old Testament.

There is always a way back, take one step toward God and he will come running to you.
