A Lamb Without Blemish This First Day of Passover

Sundown today marks the beginning of Passover, and Bible or Not extends our blessings to the House of Israel and to all those observing these holy days. Each year Christians observe Palm Sunday which is closely followed by Passover, and it’s no coincidence. In the Book of Exodus we read:

“Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.” – Exodus 12:5 NKJV

The 12th chapter of Exodus outlines the first observance of Passover, exactly as it was commanded by God and delivered through Moses. This is one of the most striking types and shadows of the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. So, as would be expected…

Those Whom God Wishes to Destroy, He First Makes Angry

As we approach Passover our attention is expectedly drawn to the Exodus story when God used Moses to free the Israelite nation from bondage in Egypt. For those familiar with the story you may recall that God hardened Pharoah’s heart, and as a matter of fact, it states that 15 times in the Book of Exodus. Afterwards Pharoah and his army were destroyed.
