Thank God It’s Friday in the Bible

I can only imagine how many times today I will hear someone say thank God it’s Friday, or TGIF. So of course I wondered what the Bible had to say about it.

Firstly, each and every day is a gift from God: “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it”. So, whether Friday or Monday, we thank God for the day. All days are equal in the eyes of God, and each day is to be observed with thanksgiving. We see in the book of Romans:

“One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.” – Romans 14:5-6 NKJV

Yes, the key is thanks, so today, THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!
