The Perfect Law of Liberty

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

  1. MARTIN LUTHER BELIEVED JAMES FLATLY CONTRADICTS PAUL…JESUS SET US FREE…THE LAW KEPT US IN BONDAGE…

  2. I think you may be looking at this the wrong way. When James talks about the “perfect law” he says the perfect law is liberty, yes as in totally free through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. James was using the word “law” in the context that Jesus fulfilled the law of Moses and in so doing established the perfect law of libertywhereby Jesus sets us free as you correctly state.
